Description:

As General Superintendent you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all field operations for Hall-Irwin Corporation. You will be responsible for the consistent and timely execution of construction projects directly and indirectly through the superintendent team, ensuring successful completion while upholding the company's commitment to safety and excellence.

This is a working/lead superintendent position in which you will be responsible for managing our large-scale land development and vertical projects as well as managing and mentoring our other superintendents. You will be solely responsible for quality control and ensuring the highest possible standards of workmanship standards are met. With the right skillset, drive, and ownership this position will undoubtedly grow into a more senior operations role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project execution as safely and quickly as possible
  • Proactively plan projects to drive schedule and enhance quality performance
  • Manage and mentor superintendent staff across the organization
  • Manage field personnel to ensure that skillsets are correctly utilized
  • Manage and screen all subcontractors, ensuring safety standards are upheld
  • Manage field equipment and optimize machinery allocation and maintenance
  • Ensure project and field schedules are accurate and being followed for Hall-Irwin’s entire project portfolio
  • Effectively coordinate and schedule in-field AHJs, testers, and inspectors
  • Execute project closeout procedures in a timely manner in accordance with owner expectations
  • Ensure effective management of Hall-Irwin self-performed work, identifying additional scopes that could also be self-performed
  • Coordinate with project management staff and leadership to avoid cost or schedule overruns
  • Conduct project audits, reporting findings to executive management
  • Propose improvements to systems and processes with a mind to make project execution as efficient as possible

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 10 years of varying construction work experience within the commercial vertical sphere, including multi-family projects in excess of $30 million
  • OSHA 30-hour certification
  • Class A license, or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire
  • Proven leader with coaching and mentoring experience, able to cultivate a team built around safety, quality, and cooperation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter, able to take ownership of challenging environments
  • Solid technical understanding of commercial construction drawings, specifications, codes, procedures, and practices
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable Motor Vehicle record
  • Willingness to travel across the Front Range to manage various active project sites
  • Technically savvy and able to communicate challenges and success via meaningful metrics
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and related construction project management software

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
